It is indeed a great honour and privilege to be the co-presidents of the Sri Lankan Graduates’ Society for the year 2021/22, to lead the wonderful SLGS team in representing and supporting the Sri Lankan community at the University of Melbourne.
We are proud to have an amazing committee of 16 members with us, representing different schools/faculties at UniMelb. Together, we all contribute our time and talents to share and celebrate our Sri Lankan identity and culture with the diverse community here at the University and in Melbourne. With this same intention, the SLGS organizes various social and cultural events throughout the year (glimpses of which you can see on this website),
which we envision to continue and have more of this year as well.To us, the SLGS is a family of Sri Lankan post-graduate students, staff and alumni who share friendships, experiences and always support each other. We are truly grateful to be part of it. We would gladly invite and encourage all Sri Lankans at the University of Melbourne to make SLGS a platform to connect with the amazing Sri Lankan community here and also become a part of our SLGS family. We look forward to having a great year
with you all!
